So you are ready to change out a RV tub or maybe the shower surround. This project is not a small one, but can be easier than you might think. There can be many factors that should be thought about before you start. Are you going back with the same style and dimensions? Is what I want to replace it with available? If it is do I have to special order it?
Before you start answer all the questions asked in the first paragraph. The get the parts needed and have them in your control before you go ripping anything out. Things you will need to order these thins are sizes, color, style, and if it is a left or right hand drain. If you are replacing the rv tub you will need to order not only the tub, but also the skirt for the front. I want to measure what ever it is that you are replacing it and write the dimensions down.Then measure it again, write it down, and then check to see that both measurements match. the old saying “measure twice and cut once” really applies here. The difference is that the saying will be “measure twice and order once.” check and double check your measurements. As I said earlier this will probably be something you will have to special order and you don’t want to get stuck with having to pay a charge for the return nor do you want to have to pay to ship it back. Avoid the hassle!
My mom had a habit of repeating herself and it was annoying at the time so I have always try not to do it, but here I am going to repeat an earlier statement. This is an RV bathtub or RV shower surround. It is not just readily available like it is for your home. So, measure twice and make sure you have the correct drain location which has three options. Those three are left, right, and center… If you are going to order your RV tub or shower on the internet, I recommend that you take the extra time to call the place and verify you have ordered the correct things.This will really reduce the chance of some unwanted hassles.
